This assignment asks you to craft an engaging and critically astute, intellectually rigorous and audience-directed informative presentation that informs our class of the link between any famous, infamous, wonderous or weird cultural event and a text of your choice. Your presentation should clearly express why you see this cultural event as relevant to your text and how and where, specifically, we see its influence woven throughout the work.
Types of cultural events you may wish to examine may include (but are not limited to):
- Perceptions of historic people, spaces, or events
- Religious movements
- Political/social/economic theories and their influences
- Scientific discoveries or technological advancements
- Pop culture and ephemera
You need to use visuals for this report — Keynote, handout, Prezi, whatever works best.
